Chemi Clean

Cyanobacteria can produce a variety of strains that Chemi Clean can efficiently remove (red slime). It is not unusual to come across red slime or matting algae, which may quickly cover your rocks and even corals. This can produce unsightly aesthetics as well as problems with the amount of oxygen available for fish and corals. Chemi Clean is the quickest and safest technique to get rid of red slime from a freshwater or saltwater aquarium.

When applying Chemi Clean to the aquarium, turn off or remove any sources of carbon filtration, UV sterilizers, protein skimmers, and ozone for the best effects. Do a 20% water change when the treatment is finished. Thereafter, any carbon filtration, UV, protein skimmers*, or ozone may be switched back on.
